Coffee with Vice President of WISTA Bermuda

The Vice President of WISTA Bermuda, Marilyn Feldman was down in Singapore and a coffee session was organised on Thursday 24 May 2018, to welcome Marilyn at 1864, Sofitel Singapore City Centre.

WISTA Singapore: #UnlockingAsia Spring Conference 2018

Our Managing Partner, Fuzet Farid, accompanied by our Senior Associate, Jiradevi Veerasiman, attended the Women’s International and Trading Association (WISTA) #UnlockingAsia Spring Conference 2018. The conference was held at the Hotel Fort Canning in Singapore on Thursday, 10 May 2018.

WISTA International aims to group together women working in maritime, trading, and logistics sectors. WISTA was formed in 1974 in Sweden and now has more than 40 national WISTA associations worldwide.  

Fuzet is an active WISTA member and frequently attends WISTA events in Singapore. The team at Messrs Fuzet Farid takes this opportunity to congratulate WISTA Singapore for organising a successful conference which also celebrates 20 years of the establishment of WISTA Singapore. It is hoped that WISTA Malaysia will be established in the near future.

Our Managing Partner, Ms Fuzet Farid, attended the Linklaters - Survey of recent UK and Singapore contract law cases talk. The session was held on 22 March 2018 at Linklaters Singapore Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

The crowd at the Linklaters talk - the first point was acceptance by conduct citing 2016 and 2017 UK cases.

Our Senior Associate, Jiradevi Veerasiman, attended the Labuan IBFC Asset Leasing Symposium 2018 - "Meeting the Needs of Transparency and Substance" at Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur. The symposium was held on 22 March 2018.
